Should Seahawks be interested in former Vikings QB?
The Seattle Seahawks recently revealed their initial 53-man roster for the 2024 NFL season, featuring only two quarterbacks: Geno Smith as the established starter and Sam Howell as the primary backup. With P.J. Walker struggling in the preseason, there was no third quarterback listed. While the Seahawks may decide to stick with Smith and Walker, an intriguing option has become available in former BYU quarterback Jaren Hall, who was recently placed on waivers by the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Brady Henderson at ESPN, the Seahawks had interest in Hall leading up to the 2023 NFL draft, but he went to the Vikings in the fifth round (164 overall). In his two starts last season, Hall had a 70.4 passer rating and a QBR of 5.1. At only 26 years old, Hall has time to grow into his game. If the Seahawks still have interest, they can make a claim for him if at least half the league passes on him. Currently, Seattle is 16th in the waiver wire order.
