UFC schedule for September: A rare week off kickstarts a solid month for MMA fans to look forward to

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced an upcoming Pay-Per-View (PPV) event called UFC 306. This event will take place at The Sphere in Las Vegas and is being promoted by Dana White as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans of the sport. The main card features a bantamweight title fight between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, while the co-main event will see Valentina Shevchenko take on Alexa Grasso for the third time in their careers.

In addition to these exciting matchups, Diego Lopes is set to face Brian Ortega in a featherweight contest, and young prospect Raul Rosas Jr. will return to action against an unnamed opponent. The event will also feature the long-awaited return of several fighters including Germaine de Randamie, Oumar Sy, Morgan Charriere, and Ailin Perez.

The UFC is also set to continue its Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) with episode 6 scheduled for September 17, followed by episode 7 on September 24. These events will take place via ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
