Seattle Seahawks place starting safety Rayshawn Jenkins on injured reserve
The Seattle Seahawks have placed starting safety Rayshawn Jenkins on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least the next four games. Jenkins has played every snap this season but has been listed on Seattle's practice reports the past two weeks as having a hand injury. He will be eligible to return for the Seahawks' Week 12 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Seahawks have already been without outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who was put on IR last week and is not expected back until late in the season. Rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II is also out with a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for three games.
In addition to injuries at the back end of their defense, the Seahawks have also lost cornerbacks Riq Woolen (ankle) and Tre Brown (ankle), whose statuses are uncertain as Seattle prepares to play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
