1 in 3 Agencies Plan to Implement AI in Next 5 Years

A recent survey by Liberty Mutual Insurance reveals that half of independent insurance agents have a positive perception of AI, while 37% are unsure or negative about it. Among the top uses for AI in an agency, respondents cited automating routine tasks (59%), identifying cross-selling opportunities (48%), and assisting with marketing content creation (42%). However, they still do not fully trust AI and 31% are concerned that it will lead to job loss. The study also found that independent agency customers expect quick, responsive service from their agent and value face-to-face interactions more than digital communication. Despite this, the majority of consumers (68%) prefer to have an expert's advice when making decisions and 70% said they spend their money with local businesses whenever possible.
